Different from -지 마세요 (please don’t) which is a request form.
Permission uses -어도 되다: 들어와도 돼요?

흔한 실수
- Do not translate English word-for-word into “-(으)면 안 되다”: match Korean order and speech level.
- Do not treat near-miss patterns as free synonyms of “-(으)면 안 되다” without checking meaning and register.
