설명

피곤해요 (pigonhaeyo) means “I am tired” in natural polite Korean. It describes general fatigue after work, studying, travel, exercise, or a long day.

The dictionary form is 피곤하다, “to be tired.” In polite present speech it becomes 피곤해요. Korean normally drops the subject when it is obvious, so 피곤해요 by itself naturally means “I’m tired.”

To say “I’m very tired,” use 너무 피곤해요 or 정말 피곤해요. To say “I’m tired today,” add 오늘: 오늘 피곤해요. To say you are not tired, use 안 피곤해요.

Do not confuse 피곤해요 with 졸려요. 피곤해요 is physical or mental fatigue; 졸려요 means “I’m sleepy” and specifically describes wanting to sleep.

If you want to explain what you need next, add 쉬고 싶어요 (“I want to rest”) or 일찍 잘 거예요 (“I’m going to sleep early”).
