    ‘ㄲ’, ‘ㄸ’, ‘ㅃ’, ‘ㅆ’, ‘ㅉ’과 같이 후두 근육을 긴장하거나 양쪽 성대 사이의 틈을 막고 숨을 세게 내쉬면서 내는 소리.

    English: fortis — A sound made by straining the throat muscles, such as 'ㄲ', 'ㄸ', 'ㅃ', 'ㅆ', 'ㅉ', when in the stressed position, or by breathing strongly after blocking the gap between both vocal cords.
