Korean Learning App Reviews & Comparisons

Choosing a Korean app is harder than it should be, because most app marketing shows you streaks and confetti instead of how the teaching actually works. This section collects our reviews and comparisons of Korean learning apps, written from the inside: I run Chamelingo, I learn Korean with it, and I compete with several of the apps covered here. Every article says so up front.

What you will find: single-app reviews that go past the feature list, head-to-head comparisons with explicit criteria, roundups organized by goal (speaking practice, Hangul, free tiers), and guides for choosing between tools rather than just downloading all of them. Where Chamelingo appears in a ranking, the reasoning and the trade-offs are stated, including where another app is the better pick.

A note on how to read these: no app is best in the abstract. The useful question is what an app is good at, and whether that matches how you learn. The comparison guides are structured around that question, and the free demo and placement quiz on this site let you test our own approach before you decide anything.

Before subscribing, define the result you need in the next eight weeks and test whether the app repeatedly trains that result. A polished interface cannot compensate for missing grammar, weak review, or too little production. Use the free resources linked here to compare learning workflows, not only feature checklists, prices, or marketing promises.
