    산이나 들에서 음식을 먹을 때나 무당이 굿을 할 때, 귀신에게 먼저 바친다는 뜻으로 음식을 조금 떼어 던지는 일.

    English: gosure — An old custom of throwing some food to the spirits before eating, when one eats food in the mountains or fields, to propitiate the spirits or as part of a gut, a shaman exorcism.

    • 농민들은 고수레를 해야 농사가 잘 되고, 밥 먹은 뒤에 뒤탈이 없다고 믿는다.
    • 고수레가 조상을 기리는 소리든 귀신을 받드는 소리든 우리 조상들은 지금까지 그렇게 해 왔다.
    • 뒷산에 있는 큰 바위 앞에는 굿이 있을 때마다 거기다 먼저 고수레를 하기 때문에 늘 떡 부스러기가 널려 있었다.
