조선 시대에 만든 왕실 도서관. 역대 왕의 글이나 글씨 등을 보관하던 곳이며, 국가적 규모로 도서를 수집, 편찬, 인쇄하였다.1894년 갑오개혁 때 폐지하였다.
English: Gyujanggak Library — The royal library built in the Joseon Dynasty, to store the writings or calligraphy of the kings; it also collected, edited, and published books on a national scale; it was closed during the Gabo Reform of 1894.
