몽골

만주의 서쪽이자 시베리아의 남쪽에 있는 지역. 칭기즈 칸이 13세기 초 중국 본토의 북쪽에 세운 몽골 제국이 있던 곳으로 청나라 때 외몽골과 내몽골로 나누어졌다. 북쪽으로는 러시아, 남쪽으로는 중국과 맞닿아 있다.
