우리나라 고대의 삼국 가운데 한반도의 중부와 서남쪽에 있던 나라. 온조왕이 기원전 18년에 세운 뒤 한강 유역을 중심으로 발전하였고 일본 문화에 큰 영향을 끼쳤다. 660년에 신라와 중국 당나라의 연합군에 멸망하였다.
English: Baekje — A kingdom that was in the central and southwestern regions of the Korean Peninsula, one of the three kingdoms of ancient Korea; after King Onjo established the Baekje Kingdom in 18 B.C., it developed around the Hangang River and greatly influenced Japanese culture; it was defeated by the allied forces of the Silla Kingdom and the Chinese Tang Dynasty in 660 A.D.
