English: Ppaengdeogeomeom — Ppaengdeok's mother: One of the characters in a novel from the late Joseon era, titled "Simcheongjeon", "The Tale of Sim Cheong"; she is the mean and talkative stepmother of Sim Cheong; she eventually squanders all of her husband's wealth and leaves him after Sim Cheong is sold as a virginal sacrificial offering to the sea.
