이순신

조선 시대의 장군(1545~1598). 거북선을 만들어 임진왜란 때 왜군을 무찌르는 데 큰 공을 세웠으며 임진왜란에 대한 중요한 자료인 ‘난중일기’를 썼다.

English: Yi Sunsin — An admiral of the Joseon Dynasty (1545-1598); he made an enormous contribution to defeating the Japanese army during a series of Japanese invasions by inventing Geobukseon, the Turtle Ship, and wrote Nanjung-ilgi, a war diary which is an important record of the Japanese invasions.
