추석날

한국의 명절의 하나. 음력 8월 15일로 햅쌀로 빚은 송편과 햇과일 등의 음식을 장만하여 차례를 지낸다. 또한 씨름, 줄다리기, 강강술래 등의 민속놀이를 즐긴다.

English: Chuseongnal — A traditional Korean holiday; it falls on the 15th day of the 8th month by the lunar calendar; on this day, people prepare special foods like songpyeon, half-moon rice cake, and newly harvested fruits, and hold a memorial service for their ancestors; they also enjoy a variety of folk games and plays such as ssireum, a traditional wrestling, juldarigi, tug-of-war, and ganggangsullae, a traditional circle dance.
