한반도의 중부에 있던 나라. 견훤이 892년 완산주를 수도로 하여 세웠다. 신라, 후고구려와 함께 후삼국을 이루었지만, 내분이 일어나 936년에 결국 고려에 멸망하였다.
English: Hubaekje — later Baekje: An ancient country on the central Korean Peninsula, established in 892 by Gyeon Hwon with its capital in Wansanju; it formed the Later Three Kingdoms along with the Later Goguryeo and Silla Kingdom, but suffered an internal conflict and was subsequently brought down by the Goryeo Dynasty in 936.
