-게 하다 is a productive causative-style pattern: 웃게 하다 (make someone laugh).
It is not identical to morphological causatives (-이/히/리/기-), but learners meet both.
Politeness stays on the outer verb: 하게 했어요 / 하게 하세요.
Pair with objects carefully: who causes what for whom should be clear from particles.
Level: intermediate. Read the pattern, say each example out loud, then write two new sentences of your own before moving on.
After you can produce the form, open related Chamelingo pages (vocabulary, conjugator, particles) so the pattern connects to words you actually study.
Examples
친구를 기다리게 했어요.
I made my friend wait.
아이를 일찍 자게 해요.
I make/let the child go to bed early.
