Explanation

V-기 전에 means before doing V: 자기 전에 이를 닦아요.

Always nominalizes with -기; do not attach 전에 to a bare 요 form.

Clear sequencing for instructions and daily routines.

Opposite time frame: -고 나서 / -(으)ㄴ 다음에 for after.

Level: beginner. Read the pattern, say each example out loud, then write two new sentences of your own before moving on.

After you can produce the form, open related Chamelingo pages (vocabulary, conjugator, particles) so the pattern connects to words you actually study.

Examples

밥 먹기 전에 손 씻어요.

Wash your hands before eating.

한국에 오기 전에 한글을 배웠어요.

I learned Hangul before coming to Korea.
