이에요 vs 예요
Try it freeContrast quizPick the right form in a mini quiz.Open →Explanation
After a batchim (final consonant), use 이에요: 학생이에요.
After an open syllable (no batchim), use 예요: 의사예요.
Fast speech may reduce forms, but writing and tests still want the batchim rule.
Mistake: always using 이에요 because it “looks more complete.”
Level: beginner. Read both sides of the contrast, say the examples out loud, then write one correct and one incorrect sentence and fix it.
