Explanation

맛있어요 means “it is delicious.” Add 정말, “really,” to give a warm and common compliment about food.

Korean often omits the subject when everyone knows what you are eating. You can simply say 맛있어요 at the table.

For “It is not delicious,” say 맛없어요. Be careful: it is direct, so use it thoughtfully.

Examples

김치찌개가 정말 맛있어요.

Gimchijjigaega jeongmal masisseoyo.

The kimchi stew is really delicious.

너무 맛있어요!

Neomu masisseoyo!

It is so delicious!
